Show Ilaval Reserve Electronics Unit Offers Training What is ahead for the yount; man who is concerned with possible pos-sible military service? Who is between be-tween the age of 17-18 V- years or who has not yet received his draft classification? He may want to get the jump on training while he is still at home. Or, if he is a veteran communication commun-ication specialist including such rates as radioman, radarman, electronic elec-tronic technician, sonarman, and signalman, he is eligible to join a volunteer eelctronic warfare program pro-gram unit of the naval reserve. Storekeeper, yeoman and other rates of the naval reserve are accepted ac-cepted into the unit. Any young man who may not have received previous navy communication com-munication trani.ng but is interested interes-ted or experienced in the operation or technical phases of modern elec tronics may become eligible for reserve training or any of the basic training of the navy such as administrative, ad-ministrative, gunnery engineering, seamamrip fid dec!: operation. Electronic warfare units oL'r excellent ex-cellent opportunities for advancements advance-ments in rating. Enlisted personnel person-nel may become qualified and by examination be promoted to higher high-er rates. Non-vets who are lican-sed lican-sed 'federal communications commission com-mission radio-telegraph operators may become eligible immediately after enlistment in the naval reserve res-erve for rates as radioman second or third class.
