Show Lyimclyl BY MARY JOHNSON Mrs. Eunice Nielson had her lather la-ther Collier Lovell of Oak City to spend the day with her Tuesday. Tues-day. Mrs. Ruth Bowers and Mrs. Hazel I Sheriff took their SeaGull class' ; to Salt Lake City Thursday for a visit to the Primary Children's Hos-1 pital and the opening of Primary i conference. The girls who enjoyed the trip were, Orma Thompson, Linda Mills, Helen Spencer, Judy I Turner, Enla Wilkins, and Sibyl j Sheriff. La Rae Shipley was unable to go with her class as she was down with Scarlet fever. Mrs. Leona Potts spent several days In the Juab Co. hospital at Nephi last week. Mr. and Mrs. Barney Lake are home from Los Angeles where they visited their children. The father of John Thomas passed pas-sed away last week and was buried bur-ied Saturday. The Thomas family just recently moved from here to Tintic where Mr. Thomas is agent. Mr and Mrs. Clead Nielson drove to Salt Lake Thursday for Primary conference. Going with them were Mrs. Rayola Turner, Mrs. Francis Hayes, Mrs. Nada Roper, and Mrs. Evelyn Hogan. The Nielson's and Mrs., Hogan.. staying are in the city for the remainder of conference confer-ence but the others returned on Thursday evening. Mr. Hogan joined join-ed his wife Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Richard May and infant son, of Delta, accompanied by Miss Maxine Lamprecht, of St. Anthony, Idaho, drove to Salt Lake during the week to attend conference. confer-ence. Mr. May also attended the reunion of missionaries to Hawaii. . . i Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Whatcott, Mrs. Clea Dutson and Bryant drove to Kanosh and spent the day Thursday Thurs-day with the Newell Howlett family. fam-ily. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Whatcott and son, Phil, drove in from Vernal for a short visit with relatives and to take in conference. Ivie J. Nielson pleasantly surprised sur-prised his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Nielson when he arrived home Wednesday. He went to Sait Lake for conference then on into Idaho to visit a buddie. He will return to his base in Florida on April 18. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Thompson were happy to have their son, Mac and wife of Milford home over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Christensen and little daughter of Salt Lake visited Mrs. Christensen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Overson and family Friday and Saturday. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Banks and Mrs. Iva Banks spent Saturday afternoon visiitng Mrs. Gladys Banks and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Abegglen. The Banks family fam-ily lived here years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Banks and J. Alma Banks were conference visitors. vis-itors. Mrs. Rachel Simpson and Jay visited old friends here Sunday and Monday. They drove back to Provo Monday evening. Bishop and Mrs. Earl Greathouse and Mrs. Mary Nielson went to Salt Lake Friday for conference. Bishop and Mrs. Greathouse returned re-turned home Sunday evening. Mon- day afternoon they received word that Mrs. Nielson had suffered a fall and as ia result suffered a fractured frac-tured collarbone. She is staying with her daughter, Mrs. Delia King. Miss Diane Overson is home from Stockton for a few days visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Overson. Ov-erson. Sunday Mr. and Mrs Peter Johnson John-son visited here with their daughters, daugh-ters, Mary and Mina and families.. The Johnsons returned home Thurs day where they spent the winter at the home of Mrs. Effie Johnson. John-son. Mrs. Lile Johnson was a conference confer-ence visitor Wednesday at Salt Lake City. The Lynndyl Boy Scouts were hosts to others of the stake at a Court of Honor Sunday evening. A good program was enjoyed by a large crowd and our troop won the bugle. Miss Jolene Easterbrook of Salt Lake came down with her grandfather, grand-father, Jim Smith to spend the spring vacation at the Smith home. |
