Show Receives A Hew Official Weather Bureau Station Effective April 1 radio station KOVO will become an official U.S. Weather Bureau Cooperative Station, Sta-tion, according to information received re-ceived today by the radio station. The instrument shelter, thermometers thermo-meters and precipitation gauges are being installed by a weather bureau technician this week. Eva poration meaurement, to be used, in a special project with the U. S. Bureau of Reclamation, will be installed in-stalled in the near future. For the past three years KOVO has supplied Central Utah temperature temper-ature information in its broadcasts. Now, as an official weather bureau bur-eau observation station, KOVO plans to greatly expand its weather wea-ther reporting service to the Central Cen-tral Utah area.-Lovell Killpack, Jr., Chief Engineer of KOVO, will have charge of the new weather bureau station and with his staff members the U. S. Weather Bureau, will record the observations for |
