Show Lyimdyl BY MARY JOHNSON Mrs. Kate Hayes and daughters, attended a wedding in Sandy last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Wilkins received re-ceived word from their son, Ray Wilkins that he is on the basket ball team in his company. He also played on the soft ball team. Ray is onboard the USS Sandoval Trans port in San Francisco. Mrs. Florence Woodbury of Red-lands, Red-lands, Calif., visited with friends here Wednesday and Thursday. She was returning home after a visit in Salt Lake with her mother, Mrs. Bertha Warner and attending conference. Frank Johnson of Hurricane arrived ar-rived Thursday for a few days visit vis-it with his son, Lile Johnson and family. Saturday Mrs. Lile Johnson John-son Ross and Frank Johnson drove to Salt Lake, returning Sunday. The duck hunting season brought back old time hunters, Roy Terry and Vernon Gronning, who roamed the old haunts in search of birds. Tressa and Lottie visited friends in town. Lottie very proudly introduced in-troduced the two youngest members mem-bers of the Gronning family, Chris age 16 months and a "baby daughter daugh-ter three months. Mrs. Lucille Johnson and her mother, Mrs. Casen of Cedar City, drove to Idaho for a visit with Lucille's sister. Mrs. Ruth Abegglen and son, Rex, went to Salt Lake Wednesday. Wednes-day. They were joined by Herbert on Friday and returned home Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Nielson are home from Logan this week to help with the threshing. They will be home for the deer hunt also. Miss Velda Sheriff was home from Provo over the week end. Velda is employed by the city and county in Provo. Miss Shirley Sheriff Sher-iff left for Salt. Lake on Thursday where she will be employed for some time. Mrs. Mary Smith received word Saturday of the arrival of a baby son to Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Dean in San Diego. Mrs. Smith and daughter, dau-ghter, Annette left Sunday, for a visit with Margaret and baby. Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Johnson and children of Provo were dinner guests gu-ests of Mr. and Mrs. Clead Nielson Sunday. Mrs. Elsie Ward of Scipio and Mrs. Freda Hanson of Leamington visited Mrs. Nola Greathouse and her mother, Mrs. Mary Nielson Saturday Sat-urday afternoon. Don Greathouse was home over the week end. Mrs. Phyllis Nelson had her little daughter, to Provo for medical checkup Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mallett of San Monica, Cal., are here as cott home here and left their little daughter, while they spent a day in Salt Lake. Mf. and Mrs. Carl Whatcott, visited their parents before be-fore leaving for Vernal Sunday afternoon. af-ternoon. Lee Shipley made the trip to Vernal to assist the Whatcotts with their moving where Carl is teaching school. Mrs. Leona Potts took her mother, moth-er, Mrs. Selma Lake to Nephi Monday Mon-day for medical attention. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Overson and family drove to Tooele and Provo Sunday. Diane was home for the week end and they took her back to work. Willard Stephenson and Van Bishop Bis-hop were the speakers at church Sunday evening. Miss Cherie Hannifin Han-nifin sang two solos, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Norma Hannifin. Han-nifin. Mrs. Mary Nielson and Mrs. Nola Greathouse attended open house for Mrs. Margaret Richie in Leamington Lea-mington Sunday. guests of Mr. and Mrs. (J. J?reer They make their annual visit for the duck season. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gillis, old friends of the Freers, visited at their home Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Pendray and sons were here Sunday for a visit with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Larsen visited Mr. and Mrs Jerry Nielson and family over the week end. A very lovely dinner party was given by the Primary officers, Elea nor Nielson, Rayola Turner, Evelyn Eve-lyn Hogan and Frances Hayes at the Nielson home Monday evening even-ing in honor of the retired officers, Ruth Bowers, Hazel Sheriff, Nola Greathouse and Erma Roper. Each was presented with a book as a token of appreciation of their years of work. Slide pictures were shown and games' enjoyed. There were twenty Primary workers present. Mrs. Rayola Turner visited in Salt Lake with her daughter, Phyllis Phyl-lis over Sunday. Mrs. Ruth Bowers drove to Nephi and brought her mother, Mrs. Ash-down Ash-down here for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hayes and Linda drove to Salt Lake and Provo where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Allen. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Whatcott visited here Thursday . They were on their way to Arizona to visit Doris' parents. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Howlett also called at the What- |
