Show Oak City Mae H. Shipley Home missionaries Eldon Eliason and Nelson Clark visited Sunday evening at Sacrament services, giving giv-ing very fine instructions in their talks which was enjoyed by all. Fireside chat was held following Sacrament meeting. A good program pro-gram enjoyed Mrs. Zella Lovell taking most of the time telling interesting in-teresting stories. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Olson and family spent the week end visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jacobson and other relatives. Daryl Talbot and family have moved to Cedar City to live this winter where he will attend school. Mr. Pratt, Mr. Robinson, Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Roper attended atten-ded the Teachers Institute in Salt Lake this week. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Finlinson and family and Mrs. George Shipley Ship-ley were in Salt Lake Thursday and Friday. They also visited at Spanish Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Finlinson were visitors at Spanish Fork this week. Their son, Pvt. Richard Finlinson returned to Ft. Lewis, Wash., to resume his work with the armed services. Mrs. Ethel Mathews and children child-ren from Nephi visited several days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Roper. Doyle Anderson visited in Oak City from Provo. Misses Laurel and Avis Anderson Ander-son visited in Oak City. They returned re-turned Monday to St. George to continue their school work. Mrs. Kate Summers, a former resident of Oak City left Thursday for her home in Colorado, after spending a few or two in Oak City. For the past three weeks Mr. and Mrs. Parley Elder have been doing temple work at Manti. Mr. T. C. Lyman from Clearfield and Blaine Lyman from Rexburg visited in Oak City. Mrs. Hettie Johnson visited her sisters Twiss, Frankie and May for a few days. |
