Show Deseret LUCILLE SAMPSON Mrs. Maxine Peterson from Salt Lake spent a few days visiting her mother, Mrs. Inez Damron and family. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Knight spent Sunday and Monday in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clothier from Cedar City visited over the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Western. Mrs. Luella Western was called to Grace, Idaho, because of the illness of her sister's little boy, who has Leukemia. Her sister is Mrs. Margaret Hodges. Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Webb spent a few day in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Erma Dean Croft from Los Angeles is spending two weeks in Deseret. Saturday evening a farewell dance was held for Billy Conk, who leaves soon for the armed forces. A short program was held during the dance. It was as follows: fol-lows: Song by Darrel Allred; dance by the Davis sister, Shirley and Joan; song by Ethel and Janice Western; a skit by Lucile Sampson Samp-son and Beth Moody; remarks by counselor Dee Black, and a talk by Billy Conk. Cookies and punch were served. Mr. George Hales is very ill and is in the Fillmore hospital. We hope that he soon is feeling bet-er. bet-er. Mr. and Mrs. Sib Ross and son, Jimmie, of Ely, Nev., spent Saturday Satur-day and Sunday with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bennett, at Deseret and James S. Ross, of Delta. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Conk, from Provo, spent Saturday in Deseret for the ward reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mace, of Fillmore, Fill-more, were week end visitors at the Henry Dewsnup home. Mr. and . Mrs. Max Eliason of SalLna, visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Eliason over the week end and attended the ward reunion. , Saturday. Harold Western came from Provo Saturday for the ward reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Western spent several days in Salt Lake City this past week. Evan Pippin, the 7-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pippin, got a bad break Saturday when he fell from a shed and broke his left arm at the elbow. His father took him to Salt Lake where the break was set at the LDS hospital. He returned home Sunday. Mrs. Pippin returned from the Fillmore hosiptal Monday with the new 9 lb. baby boy born there Jan. 24. Fireside Chat was held Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Spen-cer Webb. Layton Dewsnup showed show-ed pictures of England received from his son, Richard, there in the mission field. Darrell Allred sang two numbers. |
