Show Earl Keiiy Named for Service Award Vv- v'; v. ... . - -, . " '. ; -i Earl Kelly, president of the Delta Junior Chamber of Commerce, Com-merce, was honored with the Disinguished Service award at the award banquet held in the Delta hot lunch rooms Wednesday Wednes-day night. Ken Sowards, right of Vernal, state president of the organization, and Mr. Kelly admire the award key. The pres entation was made by Frank S. Beckwith, one of the judges. The other judges were Presi dent June W. Black, and Mayor Ma-yor C. M. Pace. ....The DSA key is presented annually an-nually to a man who has been outstanding in three fields, civic civ-ic service, business ability, and church affiliations. Mr. Kelly was selected for this year's a-ward a-ward in appreciation of his service ser-vice as Delta City councilman, capable manager of the Utah Poultry and Farmers' Co-op, and activity in Delta Second ward. Delta Lions and Jaycees and their wives met together for the event, with one hundred guests at the banquet table. The committee com-mittee on arrangements was Ward Spendlove, Leonard Vo-dak, Vo-dak, Dell Ashby and James Nickle. Visitors from the state organization were Mr. Sowards and Leon Embley, vice president. presi-dent. Master of Ceremonies was James Nickle. |
