Show Oasis Mrs La Veda Bishop Pfc. Ladd Keliy son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kelly, arrived home Saturday on furlough. He got here in time to go on the hunt and got his deer. He flew from his base at Langley Air Base in Hampton, Virginia arriving in Salt Lake Friday Fri-day night and coming on by train. He likes his work in the service but would rather be closer to home He is to report back for duty Nov. 8. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Nash, from Los Angeles were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Kelly in Delta over the week end. Mr. Nash went hunting hunt-ing with Jim and they got their venison. Mrs. Erma Styler went to Phoenix, Phoen-ix, Ariz., last Saturday to visit a few days with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Farr. She is expected to return about Wednesday. Mr. Val Styler is in Brigham City gathering up his cattle that are on the range there. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Johnson and children from Seattle, Wash., are visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Johnson this week. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Lee and children also visited at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Al-bert Johnson over the week end. 1 Of course the men folks all went hunting Mr. and Mrs. Ray Johnson and Mr. and Mrs Golden Warnick went to Cedar City Wednesday to visit their grandmother, Mrs. Dessie Web ster. Mr. and Mrs. Lemoine Bond and family from Salt Lake spent the week end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Nichols. Mrs. WilHams and son, Clive, of Provo, spent the week end visiting their daughter and sister, Mrs. Leo Day. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Williams and infant daughter have moved to Logan where Leland has a job, for the winter. Mrs. Florence Williams and girls were down from Tooele, Sunday, to attend Sunday school. Bishop and Mrs. Peter H. Peterson Peter-son drove over to U.B. Dam last week and saw the fish that were being seined out of the reservoir and taken to be ground up for meal etc. They report that tHey have never seen so many fish in their lives. Some where around 200 tons have been taken out. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hawley and children and Mrs. Zona Hawley Haw-ley left last Saturday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Hawley in Berkeley, Calif. They expect to be home this coming Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Howell and family spent the week end in Beaver. Bea-ver. Morgan went deer hunting down there. Robert Carling was up from Cedar Ced-ar City over the week end and got in the hunt. Monday, Mrs. Stella Hawley and children Dale and Marlena went to Provo. Mrs. Lillian Roundy and son, Howard and Paul went to Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Bishop were up from Cedar City for the week. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Jackson and family from Orem have sold their home there and are moving to Moses Lake, Wash., The children are staying with their grandparents, grandpar-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Robinson, while Lloyd and Melba went on up to choose their new home. They found just what they were looking look-ing for and returned to Delta Fri day. Lloyd joined his borthers, Bernard and Max in the deer hunt. 1 1 |
