Mrs. Lucille Kimber will assist Mrs. Harris as hostess. t Kimbal Hansen, who enlisted in the U. S. Air Force this fall, is now at Scott AFB, 111., at radio school. He completed his basic training at Shepherd AFB, Wichita Falls, Tex-as. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hansen, of Delta. tlelta Third Ward E'raanary Party The Primary of Delta Third ward will meet at a Hallowe'en party Thursday Oct. 25, at 3:45 p. m. in the Delta Second ward base-ment. All children will be cos-tumed for the party, and prizes will be awarded to the best cos-tumes. Mothers and younger brothers and sisters of the Primary children are cordially invited to attend and join in the merrymaking. Light re-freshments will be served. IKS Missionary Gives Ileports Elder Glen Fullmer, ed who return- from the Northern California mission Oct. 1st, made his report in Delta First ward on Sun-day Oct. 14, and on Sunday, Oct. he gave the program in Delta Third ward. Elder Fullmer served two years m the mission field. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Fullmer, of Delta. He. has now resumed his studies at the BYU, at Provo, where he was a student for two years before leaving on his mission. Wedding Itance To Honor Couple A wedding dance will be held Saturday night October 27, in the Oak City amusement hall honoring Mr. and Mrs. Don F. Schmutz. (The former Merlene Lovell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lovell). The newly weds have just retur-ned from their honeymoom They were in old Mexico about a week. They saw many LDS and friends Mr. Schmutz was acquainted with when he was in the Spanish-America- n mission. They visited with lady missionaries Elizabeth Moody, of Delta and Gladys Banks of Lynn dy . They had a very pleasant week end with Mr. and Mrs. Byron p. Nielson and children in San Antonio, Texas. They returned by way of Bland-in- g, where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Fred S. Lyman. SUTHERLAND... BY GLORIA WALKER Mitchell Clark and son from Compton, Calif., are here visiting his brothers and families and tak-ing in the deer hunt. Mrs. Dick Clark and Mrs. Frank Hill were in Salt Lake City for medical treatment last week. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Harris and family of Salt Lake City visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frelen Shurtz over the week end. Also visiting at the Shurtz home for the deer hunt was Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Moss. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Smith and baby are visiting here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. H. Losee. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Justesen and family of Ririe, Idaho, visited this week with Mr. and Mrs. Rod Shi-elds and family. , Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hill of Los Angeles are visiting here with Mr. and Mrs. Art Hill. Mr. Oscar Soderquist spent the deer hunt vacation visiting a bro-ther in Idaho Fall, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Reid Tippetts have returned to their home here after 'a visit with relatives in South Da-kota. Mrs. Bryant Larsen celebrated her birthday with a dinner at her home Sunday. There will be a PTA meeting Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the school house. Superintendent Maughan will be 'here, and requests a good attendance by the parents. They will discuss the purchase of play ground equipment. They also urge the parents to visit school. The MIA Maids had the program for Sacrament meeting Sunday night. Speakers were, Jerry and Avra Johnson, Patsy Brumley, Mar-len- e Erickson, Gwen Lazenby, Lynn Fowles, and Ivone Ogden played a piano solo and Geneal Barney sang a solo. Ann Hales and her committee are gathering names and addresses of former ward members and want very much to have any names and addresses of these people you have turned in. Miss Pauline Lovell spent the week end here visiting her aunt, Mrs. Ferrell Walker and girls. Ferrell Walker and Grant Bishop hunted in the Duchesne area. Mr. and Mrs. Max Johnson and family spent a few days visiting relatives in Salt Lake . Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hardy and baby are here visiting her parents, and family, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Steele. Miss Cheryl Ogden is spending the week visiting in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Ferrell Walker spent Wed-nesday in Aurora visiting her sis-ter, Mrs. Sadie Christensen. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Abbott and family visited here last week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Abbott. Mr. and Mrs. Derral Christensen and Joan Sorenson spent Monday in Salt Lake. Richard and Ora Mae May, Ed-ward Skidmore, Viriginia Henrie, Delia Johnson visited at their homes this week end. Hinckley News LYLA RAE TALBOT Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Palmer have been visiting in Hinckley with their son, Mr. Leonard Palmer. Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Brown from San Bernadino Calif., are visiting with Mr and Mrs. Reed Stewart for the deer season. Mi-- , and Mrs. Argene Robinson have just returned home from their honeymoon. They plan to make their home in Hinckley. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hardy are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hardy. Mrs. Jay Warner and small dau-ghter, Lee, are visiting with Mrs. George Talbot this week. Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Bishop are visiting in Hinckley this week. Mr. Bishop is going to school at the BAC in Cedar City. Ross Hilton spent the week end in Hinckley with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hilton of Salt Lake are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Roy P. Hilton. lone Hansen of Fillmore was the guest of Carolyn Stevens and Ver-len- e Stevens this week end. Mrs. Dale Bishop and child plan to make their home with Mr .and Mrs. Don Bishop for the winter. Lawrence Stevens and Wallace Kernell spent the week end home for the deer hunt. Mrs. Ruth Talbot is spending the first part of the week in Provo with relatives. Don Larsen is home after sepnd-in- g the last few weeks in Colorado and Wyoming working. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Blake spent the week end in Hinckley. Wayne is going to school In Logan this winter. Mrs. Delia Hatten and family from California are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. James Blake from Hinckley this week. Cpl. Lynn C. Ireland just spent a three week leave with his par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Ireland. Lynn just graduated from medical school at the Travis Air Force Base in California. Mrs. Brush is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ow-ens, while Mr. Brush took in the deer hunt. At this report he has no venison, but plenty of exercise. Fireside chat for Sunday night services in Delta Third ward were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton Mc Cullough, in honor of Merlin Forster, who was induc-ted into the service Oct. 20. Also present was Pfc. Grant Christen-se- n, home on furlough. Gam and Lemira Bishop Brown, of Salt Lake City, are announcing the birth of a baby girl, their third daughter, on Oct. 22. Mrs. J. Avery Bishop, of Delta, left by bus early Tuesday for Salt Lake City, to see her new granddaughter ,and care for the Brown household for the next week or more. Mr. and Mrs. James J. Jensen, Jr., and small son and daughter ,from Los Angeles, Cal., left for their home Friday after a 'week's visit in Delta with Mrs. Jensen's par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Gardner, and in Tooele for a week with Mr. Jensen's parents. I Mrs. Harding Russell and infant son, Mark, of Salt Lake City, visit-parent- s, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Starley. ed over the week end with her Mr. Russell came Sunday evening, and the family returned home Mon day. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Edwards, from Wendover, were in Delta on Monday and left Tuesday, accom-panied by their mother, Mrs. Pearl Stapley, to drive to San Diego, Cal. There they were to meet Roger Ed-wards when the USS Boxer, air-craft carrier, docks after service in Korean waters. Roger plans to spend his leave in Delta. Among the college students home for the week end vacation and opening of the deer season were Jean Pratt, Gevene Adams, Church, Bonnie Black, Edythe Cahoon and Bill Starley and friend, Dave Gardner, from the BYU, Jun-e- Judd Merna Turner,- Elaine Gardner, La Rae Chesley, Helen Turner, Joan Davis, Sheldon Cal-liste- r, Ted Fowles, Rex Claridge, from the BAC and Jessie Lynn Cook, Ralph Morrison and Hal Kill-pac- k ,from the U. of U. Mr? and Mrs. Elton Stapley and' Mrs. Ruth Cahoon, from Cedar City drove to Delta Sunday for an after noon's visit . Mrs. Cahoon visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Starley. Eldon found tht his s, Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Stap-ley ,were at Trout Creek at the time. Mrs. John M. Lloyd and daugh-ter,' Mrs. Barbara Martino, from Redondo Beach, Cal., were Delta visitors this week. On their return Mrs. Lloyd's mother, Mrs. Lynn War nick went with them for a visit of two months. |
