This payment of $.90 brought the total return to growers in Salt Lake, Utah and Millard counties to $13.69 per ton and brought the total cash income for the 1950 crop to ; $1,738,600. This made sugar beets one of the most profitable crops grown by farmers last year. Harvest of the 1951 beet crop is now well under way. In spite of drouth and hail in some areas, yields and sugar content in most districts are running above last year, and growers are assured as-sured a profitable return. You can secure maximum maxi-mum yields in 1952 by planning for it now. Apply barnyard manure and commercial fertilizer and plow it under this fall. Where soil is dry, fall irrigation will help you get off to an early start next spring. : hickory m s : 1 (omvaama YEARS OLD ;j BODRBOBf II HI II II III I II I - " ) I , J 1 L 010 HICKORY DISTILLING CORP. . ;i PHILADELPHIA, PA.
