Show Oasis Mrs La Veda Bishop Mr. and Mrs. Peter M. Anderson r entertained at turkey dinner on j Saturday evening a week ago. The ! guests were their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Peterson Peter-son and three children from Provo and friends, Mrs. E. A. Grahms, of Provo, and Mrs. Martha Peterson, of Pleasant Grove. On Sunday Mr. Anderson's sister, Mrs. . Christine Antoff, of Provo, and friends, Mr. and Mrs. Hadley visited the Anderson Ander-son family. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Dowse and niece, Cathy Stinson, of Salt Lake City, were weekend visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Barber. The party made a trip to Callao and Drum mountain and other places of interest. in-terest. Miss Elsie Anderson celebrated her birthday Saturday. Many friends fri-ends and relatives"- called during the afternoon to extend good Wishes to leave gifts. Mrs. Zona Hawley went to California Cal-ifornia Tuesday for a visit of several sev-eral weeks.- Mrs. Jack Murray, the former Virgie Sjostrom, and infant son, James Hilding, .from California, arrived ar-rived Friday for a visit with her . parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hilding Sjostrom. Sjos-trom. Miss Nella Styler, who is attending at-tending school in Salt Lake City, spent the weekend with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. J Val Styler, and celebrated her birthday Sunday. Ervin Skeem went to Salt Lake City and brought Mrs. Skeem home from the hospital Sunday. Sunday evening the Relief Society So-ciety presented a special program. The theme was "To the Latter-day Saint the Home is a Sacred Place.'" Readers were Mrs. Erma Styler, and Mrs. Stella Hawley. Tableaux picturing some of the phases of home life were very nicely done. Directors were Mrs. Styler and Mrs. Betsy Skeem. A duet was sung by Melvin and Veola Memmott. Mem-mott. The Singing Mothers sang two special numbers. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bishop of Hinckley represented repre-sented the stake board. Howard Roundy came home from Salt Lake City Saturday evening and returned Sunday to help take care of his father, Wash Roundy. Mrs. Florence Still and little Paul Roundy went to Salt Lake with him and returned to Oasis Monday Mon-day evening. The latest word received re-ceived on Wash is that he is a-bout a-bout the same and at times seems to be losing a little. A new doctor doc-tor was to take over Monday and treat him for shock, and no report has been received since. |
