Show Power Line Shot Down by Unknown Malefactors Monday forenoon one of the Telluride Power Co. lines was shot down, the work of some person or persons unknown. The break shot off power at the airport range ran-ge station and east part of Delta. It took two hours to make the necessary repairs. The power company wishes to remind the public that shooting down power lines is an extremely dangerous practice. This line was carrying 2300 volts and could easily eas-ily have caused death if anyone had come in contact with the live wire. Not only is shooting down power pow-er lines dangerous, but it is unlaw ful. Anyone found guilty of the deed may receive a jail sentence up to ten years. The Telluride offers a standmg reward for information leading to the apprehension of persons who shoot down power lines or insulators. in-sulators. This is the second time this year that a power line has been shot down. The power company com-pany urgently asks the cooperation cooperat-ion of the public in putting an end to such practises. |
