" We wish to express our deep ap-preciation of the expressions of sympathy and kindnesses that are of comfort to us in our sorrow in the death of our dearly beloved baby daughter and sister, Louia. Mr. and Mrs. Ormus L. Dutson and sons Mr. and Mrs. Garth Tolbert and little daughter left Delta Saturday on a vacation trip. They drove to San Francisco, where they will visit Mrs. Tolbert's sister, Mrs. Philip Forand. They will go on up the coast and return home through the northwest. Family Meets At Canyon Party Members of the P. T. Black fam-ily met Sunday July 2, in Oak City canyon for a picnic and reunion. Mr. Black's eight children were all there, two daughters from out of town, Mrs. Lillis Larson, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Lora Skidmore Martinez, Cal., and his six sons, A. T., Nele, Harold, Golden Lucian, and Le Grande. With grandchild-ren and in -- laws, the party numbered 59. Mr. Black's sister, Mrs. Carrie Jensen of Riverside, Cal., was also there. giaJergarlon ? Anderson and Luana aurine0 are attending BYU cmnier school. i Beehive Girls 'Have Slake Party Friday, July 21 All Bee Keepers and Beehive Girls are invited to aUend the Stake BeeHive story hour, swim and campfire supper on July 21., 1 he story hour will begin at 4 on the Delta high school lawn with experienced story tellers taking charge. At 6 o'clock there will be swim-mn- 8 at the Delta pool. A charge ot 10 cents for each girl will be made. At 7 o'clock the campfire sup- per is for all Bee Keepers and girls. They will be bring their own lunch. The fireplace will be avail-able for those wishing to cook over the fire. Stake Bee Kepers are Ellen R Morrill and Zola Bunker. Mr. and Mrs. Tharol Larson and daughter, Tharla are leaving Thurs day for a vacation trip through the northwest and California. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bassett, of American Fork, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bassett, of Provo, were Delta visitors during the week end with their brother, Wm. H. Bassett. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Robinson of Delta were shopping in Provo on Monday and exchanged greetings wilh some of their Millard friends Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clark, Anna Dee, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Home and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Crum, El Mae, and Paul Jr. of Orem, en-joyed the Fourth in Provo canyon Mrs. Thelma Clark has been quite ill at her home in Orem. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Crum went to Salt Lake Friday where Mr. Crum had a tooth extracted. Din-ner guests at the Paul Crum home Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Crum and two daughters of Mid-val- Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Allen, Ruby and Jay Grey of Springvillei Blanche Hudson, Mr. and Mrs! Frank Godfrey, Mrs Mae Miller and son, Billy, of San Bruno, and Mr. and Mrs. George Godfrey and Mary Ann spent Tuesday in Provo canyon fishing and enjoyed a ham burger dinner. Harold Ivie, who is working in Coif T l , . en was served. Miss Joann Gier of Scotland, who has spent the month in Los Angeles, stopped in Elko, Nevada, and visited Mr and Mrs. Kenny Jack, also in Uvada with Mr. and Mrs. Gavin Wier. Then she return-ed to Provo to spend some time with her sister, Mrs. Frances God-frey. Saul Angell's brother and family from Salt Lake have been visiting in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Watts from Springville visited in Provo Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gaisford and son of Inglewood, Cal, arrived home after having spent a week in Provo visiting Carolyn's parents Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Simpson. They went to Oregon and down the coast to San Francisco where they visited friends before returning home Mrs. Sadie Elmer of Spanish Fork spent Saturday and Sunday in Provo visiting Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Simpson own. iJaie, came nome and enjoy- ed the Fourth with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Ivie. Dinner guests at the Simpson home on the Fourth were Mr. arrd Mrs. Walter Baxter, Mr. and Mrs. Dan LeRoy and daughter, Cherie of Hiawatha, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ungerman and daughter, Vicky Lynn, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bennett of Huntington and family. Mr. and Mrs. Baxter and Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy returned to Huntington on Saturday and Mr. and Mrs. Ben-- I nett and Mr. and Mrs. Ungerman went on to Salt Lake to spend the remainder of their vacation, visiting their sister, Mrs. Hazel Simmons. Mrs. Rachel Simpson will spend a few days visiting Mrs. Sadie El-mer in Spanish Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Don Williams and new baby boy have been visiting in Leamington. They returned to their home Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Oran Nielson and Thela are now living in Tod Park where they are working. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ivie and two daughters of Denver have been vis iting in Orem with Mr. Ivie's par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Burton Ivie. They also spent some time in Hin-ckley visiting. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Allen, Ruby and Jay Grey, Mrs. Mae Miller and Billy, drove to Salt Lake and Ogden where Mae took the bus and returned home, leav-- I ing Billy here to spend his vaca-tion with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Allen. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Carlton vis- - ited in Salt Lake this weekend. Mrs. Bill Simpson has been spending a few days with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Roper in Oak City, Raymond Clark is spending the ' weekend home with his parents, in Orem. He has been working in Lynndyl. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Hayes and Lindon came up to Provo from Lynndyl, and spent the Fourth with Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Allen, and Mae Miller. They all went to Provo canyon for the day. I Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Ivie of Provo, went to Kanosh and visited j Mrs. Ivie's mother and stopped in Lynndyl and visited Mr. and Mrs. i Irving Nielson. i Wednesday evening Ruby Allen 1 and Jay Grey drove to Lynndyl 1 and brought Mrs. Allen back to j Provo. She had visited Mrs. Wm. Coleman, Mrs. Joe Pargis and Mrs. Nada Simpson Friday evenin, July 7th being I Gene Majers' birthday, Jay Simp-- f son, Neil Fernley and Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Simpson were dinner ' guests at the Majers' home. Chick- - Alec Dalley returned to .Delta, Friday after eight weeks in Fill-more at the hospital ill with pneumonia. He also underwent an operation there, and is now much improved. Mrs. Owen R. Holt and daughter Peggy Holt, made a trip to Salt Lake City last week. Leamington Mrs. Pearl Nelson Mr .and Mrs. Don Bird were honored with a wedding reception Saturday night at 1he Leamington ward hall. A large crowd of rela-tives and friends were there to extend congratulations and best wishes to the young couple. They received many beautiful gifts. Aft-er the reception the bride and grooh left for a honeymoon trip ,to Canada. Shirley and Billy Wangsgard of Huntsville are visiting for a week with Mr. and Mrs. Rich Finlinson. Mr. and Mrs Avis Boise and children spent the Fourth visiting Mr. and Mrs. Dean Harder. They are from Missouri. Mr. Boise and Mrs. Harder are cousins Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jackson and family spent the weekend in Leamington. Mrs. Vern Young of Huntington and Mrs. Bill Barrett of Ogden are visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Johnson this week. Arlo Nielson returned home Fri-day from his mission. He has been two years in the Northwestern states. Mr. and Mrs. Oren Nielson visit-ed in Leamington over the week end. Marilyn Brimley spent the week end in Leamington ito attend the wedding reception of Joan Nielson. Mrs. Margaret Ritchie is spend-ing a few weeks in Los Angeles with her children. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lovell are vis-iting in San Francisco and Red-wood City for a few weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Nielson and Norma's brother and wife spent the Fourth at Fish Lake "fishing. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Tousley from" San Francisco spent a few days in Leamington last week. M. C. Dutson and Mr. and Mrs. Claude McGuire spent the Fourth in Pioche with Mr and Mrs. Les Somers. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Wood and family left Delta this week on a vacation trip. In Salt Lake City they met Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Skidmore and family, and took the children to Liberty Park and Lagoon for a holiday. From there the Wood family went on into Idaho, and the Skidmores will re-turn later to their home at Mart-inez, Cal. Mr. Jacobs has returned to his home and Mrs. Lee is remaining to care for her mother, who is re-ported much improved at present |
