Show Lynndyl Mrs. Rachel Simpson God grant me the serenity to accept the tilings I cannot change: the courage to change the things I can; ami the wisdom to know the difference. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Hayes spent Sunday in Provo with Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Allen. Mr. Allen has been working in Evanston but came home for the weekend. Mrs. Allen also had as dinner guests Mrs. Bessie Dutson and her daughter, Phyllis, and her husband hus-band and family also Arnel Dutson, Dut-son, all of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Royal Terry of Cedar City stopped off in Lynn-dyl Lynn-dyl and visited their son, Farrell and family and Mr .and Mrs. William Will-iam Coleman, on their way to Mon tana to spend their vacation with Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Hart. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Simpson and children went to Oak City Wednes day and joined Mr. and Mrs. Le-land Le-land Roper. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Stuart Stu-art and Mr. and Mrs. Grayson Roper and baby enjoyed a canyon party. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Overson went to Logan where their daugh ter, Jeannette was married to Nep hi Scwab in the Logan temple Aug. 3. Mr. Scwab is a son of Mrs. Rose Schwab of Logan. He was a coach at Delta High School. There will be a wedding reception honoring the couple at the Palo-mar Palo-mar hall in Delta Saturday. Mrs. Maurine Miller and children child-ren of Milford are staying at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Bajiks. Freddie who was badly burned at Milford is improving im-proving slowly but able to get a-round a-round some. Gene Majers, Jay Simpson and their dog, Smoky, are spending a few days in Lynndyl with Mrs. Norma Majers and Bill Simpson. Mrs. Effie Allen, Mrs. Rachel Simpson and Mrs. Grant Johnson spent a pleasant afernoon playing play-ing cards at the Lois Gilner home in Provo. Ice cream and cookies were served. Mrs. Bill Simpson had a birthday birth-day dinner Wednesday, August 3, honoring her husband. A very dili-cious dili-cious dinner was served to Mr. and Mrs. Leland Roper, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Stuart, Mr. and Mrs. Graj son Roper. Mrs. Sadie Elmer of Spanish Fork spent Thursday visiting Mrs. Rachel Simpson in Provo. Miss Mary Beth Roper has been spending her vacation at the Girls' Home in Provo canyon. There are at least 15 or more families who have moved from Lynndyl to Provo. Some are, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilke, Mr. and Mrs. Mart Sherriff, Mr. and Mrs. Charley Smiths, Mr. and Mrs. Mer-lyn Mer-lyn Roper, Kirt Roper, Sol Angel, Don James, Roy Clark Jerome Ivie, Wallace Allen, Golden Ivie, C. M. Ivie, Burton Ivie Blaine Coleman, Ray Atkins, Gene Dutson, Gill John son, Carl Larsen, Reed Larsen, C. E. Simpson, Bob Ogden, , Myron Vest, Roy Terry have gone to Cedar City, Vernon Gronning to Milford. Varley Dutson worked in Provo but has returned to Lynndyl Lynn-dyl where he is now working. Ernal Johnson who is working in Provo spent the week end in Lynndyl with his family. Last week Mrs. Ray Clark, son Raymond and daughter, AnnaDee stayed here and visited. Ray came down Friday from Provo and run the show as usual. Last week Mr. and Mrs. Dick Hayes and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Vest and Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Niel son, Ruby Allen of Provo and Billy Miller of San Francisco enjoyed supper in Oak City Canyon. Norma Majers and children and Janeane spent the afernoon Friday out to the sinks and enjoyed a lunch. Mr. and Mrs. Jerome' Ivie have their grandson, Bart of Salt Lake City staying with them. Vernal r Ivie of Burbank, Cal., is also visiting visit-ing with them in Provo. |
