Delta City Sets Tax Levy for 1949 At19'2 Mills Delta City Council met Friday night in the city hall, and set up the tax levy for this year at 19 j mills. This is a reduction of 2 mills, as the levy for the past several years has been 21 mills. The assessed valuation of the city of Delta is $909,736.00. This shows an increase of approximate ly $350,000 in the past 7 years. The tax levy is set as follows: Contingent expense, 5 mills; Waterworks, Wat-erworks, 2; Streets and Sidewalks, Sewers and Drains, 2; City Hall and Memorials, 1; Library, 1; Electric Light Works, 3; Parks and Public Property, V ; Public Affairs and Finance, V-; Public Safety 2; Special Improvement Guaranty Fund, 1; The total is 19 Vi mills.
