Show Mother, Aged 88 Dies In Ogden Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Cluff Little, 88, a resident of Ogden for the past 30 years, died Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Clarice Matthews, of causes incident to age. Mrs. Little was the mother of Mrs. Leona Daly, of Delta, and an aunt of Sher-man and Fera Little. She had visited in Delta several times until the last few years. Mrs. Little was born in Provo Feb. 23, 1861, and was married to Phineas H. Little March 12, 1880 They had lived in Provo, Kanab, Panguitch, Big Horn, Wyo., Oakley Idaho, and Ogden. Mr. Little died 15 years ago. Surviving are two daughter's and four sons; 21 grand children; 54 great - grandchildren. And 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was an ardent worker in the LDS church; and was first secretary secre-tary of the first MIA in Provo. She had worked in the Relief Society, and in genealogical studies she had compiled her family record as far back as 1673. She did beautiful handwork, and an altar cloth in the Salt Lake temple was made by her. Funeral services were held Tues day in Ogden, and burial was in the Ogden city cemetery. Mrs. Daly and her children here, Mrs. Leona Prestwich, Mrs. Nellie Sorenson, and aJck Daly, and Mrs. Mary Warnick, of American Fork, attended at-tended the services. |
