Show Find Geotlcs On Keg fountain : Last Friday Emory John took Marion Killpack, John Kozina and me up to the east side of Key mountain where we found plenty of geodes, though Marion said they were not of the highest quality. We went past the Bonneville Terrace west of the former Topaz relocation center; a picture of it was taken in the early morning sun, giving good results. Also a picture of Drum mountains. We turned up on the "upper road," in the old river channel, made by the CCC, and turned up a wash. There were plenty of geodes, ge-odes, some whole, but most in halves or less. Then back home by way of the copper mine on the west tip of Desert mountains, and then to the petroglyphs on "picture rocks" and in to town. The whole day was profitably spent. |
