Show DiiS Players Are Acclaimed Tops In School Play Delta high school players provided pro-vided four evening of hilarious fun with their presentation of "A Date With Judy", by Aleen Leslie, based on the radio programs and films. Two casts gave two performances each, giving two shows in Delta, one in Lynndyl and one in Hinckley. Hinck-ley. A prevue was given Tuesday of last week in Oak City. One cast was headed by Jean Allen, as Judy, with Richard Sweet as Oogie, the boy friend. Small brother was Joe Bishop, and the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Foster, were Fred Adams and Maurine Callister. Aldeen Skidmore was Hannah, Jen nie Oison was Barbara, Judy's girl friend, and Jessie Lynn Cook was Mitzi, another girl friend. Lamon Robins played Mr. Martindale, Norma Nor-ma Kimber was Mrs. Hotchkiss and Elaine Gardner was her daughter, Eloise, who recited. Tharla Larson was Mrs. Schlutzhammer, Gill Hilton Hil-ton was Rexford, now boy in town, and Kalae Knight was his sister. Susie. The other cast had Roberta Niel-son Niel-son as Judy, with Neil Rawlinson and Phyllis Turner as the parents, Foster. Don Greathouse was Randolph, Ran-dolph, kid brother, Viola Talbot was Hannah, Joan Nielson was Barbara, Donald May was Oogie and Shirley Deem was Mitzi. Jean Daly played Mrs. Schlutzhammer, Schlutzham-mer, Loe Lake was Rexford, and Kalae Knight was Susie with that cast too. S. D. Anderson was director, assisted as-sisted by Norma Kimber. Fred Adams arranged the staging, assisted as-sisted by John Gardner as stage manager. Music between acts at the performances per-formances was given by Miss Joyce Terry, soloist and the girls' trio, Lila Mae Sampson, Bonnie Black, and Cherie Hannifin. |
