Show grandchildren spent the afternoon with her. Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Christen-sen Christen-sen and children of Aurora visited relatives here over the weekend. A wedding dance and' reception for Mr. and Mrs. Gene Morris, the former Betty Jane Roper, will be held here on Friday evening. The program Sunday evening was under the direction of ward teacher John Nielson. The speakers were Mr. and Mrs. Francis Anderson. Ander-son. Colleen Anderson sang a solo, "The Lord's Prayer." OAK CITY... A good crowd enjoyed the Twenty-fourth Twenty-fourth celebration Saturday. At 10:30 a colorful parade was enjoyed enjoy-ed with a group of Indians on horseback adding to' the excitement. excite-ment. After the parade a good program was presented. At 2 p. m. the children had races and sports and a ball game in the afternoon aft-ernoon between the stiffs and the limbers, the score being 12 to 8 in favor of the stiffs. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Christensen and Grant spent several days visiting vis-iting in Blanding. Mrs. Christensen's two small sisters and a brother who have been visiting here returned re-turned home with them. Marian Blair of Wells, Nevada, is visiting Merlene Lovell. Retiring Primary officers, Pres. Zella Lovell, with assistants Esther Christensen and Leona East, were honored at a party at Georgia Finlinson's home on Wednesday evening. The evening was spent in playing games. Sixteen guests were present. Mrs. Francis Anderson spent the past week visiting her parents at Ephraim. Leon Alldredge has been visiting cousins in Clearfield. Bishop and Mrs. Burnis Finlinson and children are vacationing in Canada. Wesley Shipley, of Salt Lake, took his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Shipley on a fishing trip last week to Boulder Mountain. They enjoyed the scenery of Piute and Wayne counties. Wesley's brother, Ivan Shipley and son, Larry, Lar-ry, also went with them. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Olson and son, Harry, from Orem spent several sev-eral days here visiting his father, Lafe Olson. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Finlinson and Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Finlinson and children, spent the weekend in Cedar City with Dr. and Mrs. Rymol Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Atkins. Mrs. Margaret Roper is teaching kindergarten here for the Oak City and Lynndyl children, who will begin be-gin school this fall. She has about 20 students. Mrs. Bruce Lovell and Mrs. Daryl Talbot both of Holden are in Oak City visiting their missionary husband's hus-band's families. Mr. and Mrs. Emery Dutson received re-ceived word that they are now grandparents as a baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Bennett of California, on July 20th. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roper and daughters, Wilma and Retha Mae from Caliente, Nevada are visiting hete with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Parley Elder attended at-tended a Nielson reunion in Salt Lake on Sunday at Liberty Park.
