Show Lyiindyl Mrs. Rachel Simpson Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon , Gronning were pleasantly surprised surpris-ed when her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bunker and brother, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Hales, and son, George, of Delta, arrived in Lynndyl to help them celebrate their tenth wedding wed-ding anniversary. A very pleasant afternoon was enjoyed and a pot-luck pot-luck supper served. Mrs. Wanda Roper and daughter, daugh-ter, Glenna Vest, were Salt Lake visitors Friday. Mrs. Don James and children arrived ar-rived home after a t,wo-week visit in Beaver, with Mrs. Blaine Cox. Mr. James will arrive Tuesday as he remained in Beaver to go fishing. fish-ing. He is now working in Los Angeles, Ang-eles, but is on his vacation. Miss Gladys Banks went to Pro-vo Pro-vo to see the new addition to the DeLong Banks family. A baby boy was born July 3 in Provo to them. Mrs. Banks is the former Rosalee Anderson of Leamington. Mrs. Bill Simpson attended the trousseau tea given in honor of Miss Cheryl Black of Delta. Mrs. Mae Miller and son, Billy, Mrs. Helen Webb and three daughters, daugh-ters, Barbara, Charlet and Rosella and Mr. Oliver Olsen, of San Bruno, California, are house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Allen. They left Monday to go to Wyoming Wy-oming to Frontier Days' and visit relatives. They will return Wednesday Wed-nesday and visit here. Mrs. Mary Coon and daughter, Judy, arrived Thursday for a few day's visit with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clark. Mr. William Fernly, of Caliente, and grandson, Neil, arrived Wednesday Wed-nesday for a few day's visit with Mrs. Rachel Simpson. Sunday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Simpson and daughter, Paula, Mrs. Norma Majers and children, Rachel Simpson and son, Jay, Linda Lin-da and Russell Greathouse, enjoyed a rabbit dinner in the canyon. Louise Wiley returned to Spring-ville Spring-ville Friday, after a pleasant visit here with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clark spent Sunday in Provo. Bill Jeffers spent a few days in Salt Lake City. Shirley Sherriff is visiting in Sutherland with her brother Olan Sherriff. Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Ivie and son, Harold, left Monday morning, to vacation in Yellowstone Park. Mrs. Jerome Ivie went to Salt Lake City Saturday, to help her daughter, Mrs. Neve Harvey, home with the children. Mrs. Harvey and children spent two weeks here with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. John Talbot, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Talbot, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Talbot, of Los Angeles, spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lile Johnson. The ball team went to Scipio to play ball. Mr. and Mrs. Clead Niel-son, Niel-son, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Nielson, Mary Johnson and two daughters, Clorean and Connie, also went. Mrs. Mary Johnson visited with an old resident from here, Mrs. Geneva Eskland. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Shipley, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Roper went to Spanish Fork to attend the Rodeo there. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thompson, of Los Angeles, were honored guests at a canyon party Monday evening. even-ing. Fried chicken, green corn, hot rolls, were some of the many good Saturday, visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lester Welton in Delta and enjoyed enjoy-ed the dance. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Talbot went to Nephi Friday to visit with Mrs. Talbot's Tal-bot's mother. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Benson and boys, spent Sunday in the canyon. Mrs. Kay Aitkins has been quite ill for some time. Mr. and Mrs. Clemett Whatcott and family, and Mrs. Pully, from Logan, visited Mr. and Mrs. Irving Irv-ing Whatcott, Friday until Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Woodbury went to Hurricane Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Johnson visited visit-ed with Mr. and Mrs. Lile Johnson Saturday. They went to Sutherland. Also Mary Johnson spent the day with her parents and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Bill things to eat. Those who enjoyed the outing were: Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nielson, Mr. and Mrs. Lile Johnson, John-son, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Whatcott, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Greathouse, Bishop and Mrs. Clead Nielson, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thompson, who returned home Tuesday to Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Ivie and son, Wayne, returned from a vacation at Mammoth Lake, Wyoming. Mae Overson, of Leamington, and her sister-in-law, Mattie Smith, of Mesa, Arizona, visited with Mrs. Mary Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Trotter, of Biggs, California, are here, visiting their daughter, Mrs. Howard Nielson. Niel-son. - Mr. and Mrs. Olan Sherriff and new baby, spent the weekend with Johnson returned to Los Angeles Saturday. Miss Jane Terry spent a few days in Salt Lake City. Connie Johnson, Molly Mills, Roberta Ro-berta Johnson, went to Salt Lake City Friday and enjoyed the 24th celebration. Clorean Johnson came home and visited Saturday and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Sherriff. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Mills are vaca-itioning vaca-itioning in Yellowstone. His mother land step-father are taking care of 'the business. Mrs. Burton Ivie is quite ill with her back and is unable to perform her duties at the post office. Mr. Bill Jeffers and Jean Jeffers and Mary Coon, of Salt Lake City, are planning on meeting Roy Mills in Salt Lake and going on with them to Yellowstone Park. |
