Show Trousseau Tea Honors Itride - Mr. and Mrs. Lucian P. Black, .of Delta, announce the engagement I of their daughter, Cheryl, to Grayson Gray-son Roper, son of Mr. and Leland I Roper, of Oak City. The marriage will take place Thursday, July 29, in the Manti Temple. The bride-to-be was honored at a trousseou tea Thursday, July 22, at the home of her grandfather, P. T. Black, given by her' mother, with Mrs. P. T. Black and Mrs. Lora Skidmore assisting. Guests called from 3 to 8 p. m. Miss Black was lovely in a pink crepe frock, adorned with a beautiful beau-tiful white orchid. The mothers of the engaged couple. Mrs. Black and Mrs. Roper, wore identical corsages cor-sages of white baby carnations and red rose buds. The color scheme in the tea room was pink and white, carried out with attractive flower arrangements. arrange-ments. The lace-covered tea-table held a centerpiece of bridal wreath and sweet peas and lighted pink candles. In charge of the tea-table were Miss Bonnie Whicker of Hinckley, Hin-ckley, and Miss Marilyn Larsen of Salt Lake City. The trousseau room was presided over by Miss Rayda Bishop, the main attraction being a white satin sat-in wedding gown and veil. The gift room was in charge of Miss Carol Johnson and Miss LuJuana Pearson. Mrs. Lora Skidmore directed the serving, assisted by Miss Dorothy Black, Miss Marilyn Callister and Miss Ila Fullmer. Music was given during the afternoon, aft-ernoon, including two piano solos by Barth Black, three vocal duets by Marilyn Callister and Dorothy Black, accompanied by Ila Fullmer, Full-mer, and three piano duets by Carol Johnson and LuJuana Pearson. |
