Show Steele Family Holds Reunion I , I Over a hundred members of the Steele family, descendants of M. M. Steele Sr. and wife, Emily Bunker Bun-ker Steele, held their reunion Sunday Sun-day in Oak Creek canyon. The day I began at 10 a. m., and dinner was . served at noon. I A program was given in the aft-lernoon, aft-lernoon, with each branch of the I family taking part, and giving their family history. A short business meeting was held, and plans made to make the reunion an annual affair, af-fair, with a meeting scheduled for next year. All of the family of Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Steele Jr. were present, those from out of town being Mr. and Mrs. Arthello Steele, Pleasant Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Sherdon Prouse, Kanosh; Mrs. Wanda Cox and Miss Hilga Judd, from Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Henrie, and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Henrie Pang-uitch Pang-uitch and Mrs. Marline Lemon Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Judd, and family, and Mrs. Itha Ahlstrom and children, Pleasant Grove. From Delta were Mrs. Abbie Prestwich and family, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Rawlinson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Steele and family, and their daughter, Mrs. Elma Frazier, of Vallejo, California; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rawlinson, Mr. and Mrs. Leif Alldredge, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Roundy and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Steel, and families. Mr. and Mrs. John Steele and family were there, with three of their sons from out of town, Mr. and Mrs. Alton Steele, Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Hermon Steele and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Steele, from Salt Lake City. Their daughters, Mrs. Flara Brown and Mrs. Chlora Twitchell were unable to come, but Mr. and Mrs. Roy Steele and Mr. and Mrs. Junior Steele, of Delta, Del-ta, were present. Mrs. James Steele and children, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Steele, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Whicker, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Carroll, and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hawley, and families, fam-ilies, attended. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Callister, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Knight, and families, of Delta, and Mr. and Mrs. Hal Bradshaw, and three children, from Hurricane, represented represent-ed the family of Mr. and Mrs. Job Riding. Arthello Steele acted as master of ceremonies for the afternoon program. The committee formed to arrange the reunion for next year is Alton Steele, chairman, Hermon Steele secretary, and Mrs. Wanda Cox, historian. |
