Show ARE YOU IN THE SWIM? July Swimmers Total 6340 Everyone is in the swim here nowadays, from the July reports from the Delta municipal swimming swimm-ing pool. A total of 6346 persons were i recorded by admissions at the Delta pool in the last month. With many more warm days before the fall frosts, August should be another an-other record-breaker. In addition to the regular pool hours, 10 to 6 p. m., and 7 to 9 p. m. daily, when the general public pub-lic enjoys the facilities, there are also special sessions being held. The younger folk are progressing rapidly enough in their swimming course, held' two forenoons a week, to promise a water carnival for their last session on the summer recreation program. Group parties and church groups have also several sev-eral large swims, chartering the pool for the hours between 6 and I 7 p. m. Among the married women and mothers a swimming class has been formed that meets twice a week, each Monday and Thursday night, from 6to 7. They have the pool to themselves on those hours, and learn to swim under the expert ex-pert guidance of Mrs. Keith Town-send. Town-send. Any woman who is interested interest-ed is welcome to join this class at any time, by coming to the pool, the more the merrier. The next session ses-sion is Thursday night, and a lot of swimming can be learned during dur-ing the month of August. This is part of the summer recreation program pro-gram for adults. |
