L Sutherland Ward Relief Society observed the annual celebration of the rounding of the Society with a dance and program especially es-pecially for married folks on Thursday night. A color scheme of blue and gold. Relief Society colors, was carried out in decorating decor-ating the hall, forming a background back-ground for the many dancers. Punch and cookies were served throughout the evening. A candle lighting ceremony preceded the floor show, when the large birthday cake was lit with candles. As each candle was lighted an incident in the history of the Relief Society was told. In the floor show dancers formed form-ed two sets of quadrilles, and performed with good old-time skill and dash. Shown enthroned here are Mr. and Mrs. Ishmael Tippetts, who were crowned king and queen of the ball. Mrs. Tippetts, oldest remaining re-maining former Relief Society president of Sutherland ward, represented all of their presidents presi-dents in the ceremony. Mr. Tippetts Tip-petts was honored for his past and present services in the ward. Each year Sutherland Relief Society plans their annual day around entertainment for married mar-ried folks, and is always successful, success-ful, with participants looking forward for-ward to next year's celebration. |
