Show News Cnae f ESjpo&liliier in f spsara Corporal Donald E. Buslett, brother bro-ther of Dorm F. Poulin of Delta, is now serving with the Far East Air Forces in Japan. Donald is stationed station-ed at the Japan Air Materiel Area, Tachikawa, Japan, and is in charge of a maintenance crew in the oxygen oxy-gen plant. The Japan Air Materiel Area, located lo-cated approximately 20 miles west of Tokyo is a huge supply and maintenance depot and serves the entire Far East Air Forces in Janan and Korea. During the war this base served as a Japanese aircraft fnctorv and was considered the "Wright Field" of Japan. Corporal Buslett entered the Air Force in April, 1946 and received basic training in San Antonio, Texas. Tex-as. He has attended the aviation mechanic's school at Keesler Field, Miss., and a P-51 mechanics' spe-cialzed spe-cialzed course at Chanute Field, 111. He sailed from San Francisco in July, 1947 aboard the USAT Gen. Weagel for the far east and upon arrival in Yokohama he was stationed sta-tioned at Kisarazu, a sub--base of the Japan Air Materiel Area where he helped to assemble " planes being be-ing brought into Japan by boat. Corporal Buslett has visited Tokyo, Tok-yo, Yokohama and surrounding a-reas a-reas and finds Japan an interesting interest-ing country. His tour of duty will be up in January, 1949. He has never visited Delta, but may one of these days. His brother, Mr. Poulin, is an aircraft communicator communi-cator with the CAA in Delta, where he has been for the past 7 months, transferring here from Alaska. He and his wife and small daughter, who was born here three months ago, make their home in Delta. |
