Show EVERYTHING - A T THE GREAT EN- GAMPMENT Demonstrations varying from tho making of applo candy to tho sugar beet ncmatodo and exhibits showing Buclfthlngs as humnn parasites and tho hen's placo on tho farm havo been arranged for tho farmers' summer sum-mer encampment which will bo held at tho Utah Agricultural Collego beginning be-ginning Tuedny August 2 and continuing con-tinuing to tho lato afternoon of August Aug-ust C. Accordlg to Dr, R. J. Evans director of tho extension division of tho institution, there will bo something some-thing of Interest to every guest of the college from the most seasoned fnrmer down to his small son Willie. The farmer's wife will bo by no means neglected as there ate thirteen thir-teen demonstrations nnd exhibits list ed ou the otllcial program which have n distinct appeal to the housewife. The demonstrations are all practical and will bo shown by actual opcra-tlou opcra-tlou while tho exhibits are arranged In such a way that they will tell their stories at a glance. Folowlng Is a list of the demonstrations demon-strations nnd exhibits taken from the brief for tho program of the encampment: encamp-ment: Demonstrations, selecting seed, wheat grading, plant disease control, churning, milk testing, Ice cream making, culture and varieties of house plants, handling bees and disease control, npple candy, orchard grafting, landscape gardening, pruning prun-ing of orchard and nursery stock, poultry culling, poultry caponlzlng, sugar beet ncmatodo. Exhibits: weed and methods of weed control, varieties of small grains, hog cholera chol-era control, plant dloases, landscape plans for homo and publlo grounds,' mutjiuin, human parasites, shops, wood work and forging, tho hen's plnco on tho farm, poultry feeding and egg production. All of theso demonstrations and exhibits will bo held each morning so that tho visitors can attend tho ones which lntorcst them tho most. Members Mem-bers of tho collego faculty will conduct con-duct tho demonstrations. |
