Show EXTENSION WORK AT THEU. A, C. A call for an even greater increase in-crease in tho extension work of tho Utah Agricultural college than has been made during the past summer is being received from all parts of tho state, according to President E. G. Peterson. While larger stato and federal appropriations havo mado possible a very great enlargement of the extension work, this growth has not been able to keep pace with the growing demand for extension division divis-ion aid. At present, practically tho whole state is being served by twenty-three county agents working in twenty-flvo counties. Nino homo demonstrators aro now working In as many counties, coun-ties, while ten farm and home specialists spec-ialists aro at work throughout tho stato. Tho great growth that has taken placo in tho boys' and girls' club movement has necessitated tho appointment of thirty-fivo district club leaders asldo from tho four statewide state-wide club leaders. Tho oxtension division is already planning its next season's work. In this, it will contlnuo to omphoalio the problems of greater production and increased conservation. Especial attention at-tention will bo paid to an Jncreaso in tho wheat yield and to greater llro stock production for next year. |
