Show f . Profit Sharing Plan or $8.50 Per Ton for Beet Growers on 1918 Contract Upon the return of the representatives of the Amalgamated and Utah-Idaho Sugar companies from Washington, D. C, where they have been conferring with government officials on sugar matters, their combined executive boards have decided de-cided to present to their growers two contracts for the year 1918; one contract on the profit sharing plan, as previously announced by the Utah-Idaho Sugar company, the other contract to be a flat rate of $8.50 per ton. The profit sharing plan will provide for a guarantee guar-antee of $7.00 per ton to be paid during the harvest as heretofore, and will provide further that the grower shall receive one-half of the net amount received for the sale of sugar above $5.50 per bag, after deducting selling and delivery expenses. |
