The plot may bo tho best In the world, but if tho character of tho lead Is not sultablo for tho star who Is to tako part It Is absolutoly useless to attempt to film It, and of course, vlco versa. "However, In 'Tho Valentino Girl' I bellevo that wo havo secured tho combination a plot that la technl-1 cally perfect and a leading role that fits Marguorlto Clark ns well as any sho has over played. Miss Clark's wlnsomo personality lends Itself particularly par-ticularly well to child Impersonations and yet as a 'grown up lady" she has a certain charm of inannor seldom oqualled on tho screen.
