Show , North Cache High School News Notes Richmond, March 9. The present week Is one of unusual activity in tho North Cacho high school. Tho regular term examinations aro being held in all classes. In addition to this, try-outs for tho dramatic cast wero held and tho preliminary debates de-bates for the Inter-class series were also finished. The student event that ovorshod-owed ovorshod-owed all others for tho past fow days was the basketball gamo with the Souch Cacho lloys. Tho largo crowd of fans from both ends of tho county wero treated to one of tho finest exhibitions ex-hibitions ot high school basketball ever seen in this part of tho state. Circumstances were against the local team inasmuch as thoy were on a strango floor and were meeting a team that had already defeated them once. In spite of these obstncles the team and tho student body went to Hyrum with the determination to fight and support the team until tho last whistle. Throughout tho gams tho scoro was close, each team leading lead-ing n few points at a time. At the end of tho game tho scoro was tied and It was necessary to play an additional ad-ditional five minutes in order to determine de-termine the winners. In this extra period tho better tactics and superior superi-or knowlcdgo of tho gamo of tho North Cache boys was clearly demonstrated, demon-strated, and they succeeded in running run-ning their score up to 2C, whllo that of the South Cache stood at 22. Tho gamo was one ot Intense interest and a large crowd witnessed tho exhibition. exhibi-tion. Tho boys representing the North Cacho were: Guy Hendricks, Albert Anderson, Russell Merrill, Elmer El-mer Skidmore, Marlon Balr and Myrum Talbot. In celebration of tho successful closo of tho basketball season a reception re-ception was tendered tho boys Monday Mon-day night In tho high school by tho girls or tho school. The entertainment entertain-ment of games, program and dancing was enjoyed by n largo number ot students and mombers ot tho faculty. With the serving of refreshments one of tho most pleasant and successful parties of tho year was concluded. Tho Inter-class debates to determine determ-ine the winner ot tho medal offered by Principal C. H. Anderson will bo hold soon. The try-outs for places on tho vnrlous class toams nro now being hold nnd somo good debaters nro nppearlng. The principals for tho cast of "Nathan "Na-than Halo," tho play to bo put on by tho students In tho near future, havo been selected. Tho try-outs woro thorough and many students took pnrt.
