Show CHAUFFEUR ADMITS MURDER OF A WOMAN Plead? Guilty in Court and Gels Life Imprisonment Within Thirty Minutes La Crosse, Wis., Nov. 0. Henry Liso, chauffeur for 3. Y. Hyde, retired grain dealer, confessed today that he murdered murder-ed Miss Petra Selberg, a maid in the family. Liso was taken before Judge E. C. Higbee in circuit court, pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to life imprisonment at Waupun all within thirtv minutes. Liso said he killed the j'.irl because she threatened to reveal their roniunce unless he paid her $500. Confronted with bloodstained F arments of tho girl, Liso broke down and confessed. Liso said, he dragged the body !500 feet through the woods from a lonely country road and dumped it into the La Crosse river, where it was found sixteen hours later by a farmer boy. |
