A and this special feature of the program was certainly enjoyed by the men who so faithfully carried the burden In the heat ot the day. Mr. John B. Rosenbaum returned home last Wednesday from Bancroft, Idaho where she had gone to attend the funeral of Mrs. Frank Ashton. "Mr. Farle Llljenqulst left last week for Richfield, Idaho, where ha has accepted- a position with the O. S. L. Railroad Company. Mr. and Mrs. Ezra E. Nlelson went to Brlgham City lost Thursday to attend at-tend the golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Olson of that place. Miss Manila Wahlen was tendered' a miscellaneous shower at her homo Friday night by about forty of her lady friends. The evening was spent rn music and games. Dainty refreshments re-freshments were served. Miss Wahlen received many beautiful and useful presents. f 4" Mr. Elmo Jenson was In from Pocatello Valley for a short visit with parents and friends In Hyrutn last week. Mrs. Selma Nlelson entertained In honor of her daughter Emma last Saturday, March 23. The timo was spent In social chat and knitting and a delicious luncheon was served. The guests were Mrs. Ollf I. Peterson. Mrs. Ezra Johnson, Miss Helga Peterson, Pet-erson, all of Logan, and Mrs. Ivor Nlelson, Mrs. Anna Markerson, Mrs. C. J. Jenson of Hyrum and Miss Agnes Ag-nes Relnerson of Logan. Mrs. J. J. Dalley returned ,from Rexburg, Idaho last Wednesday. Mrs. C Chrlstofferson who has veen ill for some length of time underwent un-derwent a critical operation at the Utah Idaho hospital.- last waekand is now reported to be getting along very nicely. Elder Leland Anderson of the Second Se-cond ward who has been home for some time an account of sickness, left for, Portland, Oregon, last week to resume his labors In the Northwestern North-western States mission. Hyrum is right up to time. The new time outside of a few people, being just one hour la,te for Sabbath Schobl and meeting last Sunday, no confusion was caused by the change of time. Everybody is tfp early and CO jto bed late and feel satisfied. Kawsver some few are talking about turning the sun an hour ahead and have It conform to the new time. |
