" Monday night a surprise party was given by tho choir in honor of Misses ' Lulu and Annie Mayer, at the hall. It was a most-enjoyable affair. The joting ladles were overcome by tho love and dovotlon expressed. Miss Annie has been organist for nearly a year and has been of great worth to tho leader. Deep regret was expressed for her departure to her homo In Louisiana, and as tokens of memory and respect gold pens were presented to each. Miss Annie departed for the sunny South Wednesday morning, Her father Is 111 and she has returned to assist tho family In selling their home, and will finally settle in Utah. Her loss Is generally felt throughout the ward, especially by her pupils. She Is so kind and devoted to them and under her instruction have advanced ad-vanced remarkably well. Sho is the best Instructor tho town ever had. Ilcr sister, Mrs. Jos. II. Jeppcson, will J continue with her pupils and also give 3 lessous on tho guitar.
