They agreed to toss a penny, heads to be Boston, tails to mean Portland, the best two In three to bo tho choice. Pettygrove won tho first toss; Love-Joy Love-Joy won tho second, and tho third proved to be tails, and Portland It was. Tho younger Pettygrovo still has tho Identical penny and would not take any amount of money for It. His father kept It for n pocket piece, and It has been handed down to tho son, who bears his father's name.
