Show The June Celebration . I Those who expect to Join the "Wild West" brigade of tho big parade should write or speak to Jay Pitkin, orMlllvllle. Mr. Pitkin was named by the committee to work this feature to the limit, and It Is confidently expect ex-pect that a laige number of hoiscback riders In pletnrcsquo "Wild West" costume will show up riding bucking brouchs. Horsemen from any part of the county, valley or state arc eligible. Kxpicsslons heard lead to the belief tha.t some of tho floats and turnouts this jcar will be superfine. Of course every business man is keeping his plans largely to himself but 'tis said that the friendly rivalry and disposition disposi-tion to get a splendid adveitlslug feature will lead to splendid lcsults. 1'iactlcally all of tho bigger firms have agreed to put hi floats and the assertion asser-tion Is frequently made that last year's effort will be laid In the shade. The Moats last, year were not to be "sneered at" by any means, so It seems an assured tiling that the great parade will be a glorious success. Joe llelhcl, head of the committee to work up the bicycle brigade for tho parade June 10th says that quite a number have signified their Intention to decorate their wheels and put them in line. Many who have wheels havo said that they would decorate and put boys on the vehicle, as personally they do not care to ride In the parade, and then again some of those who possess wheels will havo some other part In tho parade. Joe says that'ho would like to work up a great Interest in this feature if possible pos-sible and for past weeks he and others have been working out designs In decoration that might be used to good effect. He would like to havo as many wheelmen as will to wrlto him or Secretary Heniy Olsen as to whether wheth-er they will Join In making this part of the affair a success. Now Is tho accepted time. Tim Electric Light Coinmlttcoof the city council, alive to the needs of the situtatlon, opened Its heart and pocket book u few days ago and granted grant-ed Electrican Daniels $100 with which to buy appliances necessary to buy a good electrical display. Tho city was baldly In the light business last year when the Commcrlcals came but did H the matter very creditably. Tom says H ho will do It right tills time and go to H tho limit of the law and the donation. ' H The Heiculcs people, though asked 'H rather late last year to maxo any lav- 'H Ish display, also mado a very excellent H display. It Is presumed that they will H arise to the occasion this time and H do things no less handsomely. Al- H though thclr"polo system Is complete- , H lyworn out and ready to fall down" H they can probably get down from tho H canyon .sufllcientclcctrlcty to make a H display. H H On the strength of the recent H weather continuing until the IS-nd of H August, the General Committee has H about decided to offer prizes for the H best skating and swimming brigades H In the big parade.
