Parisian female cooks have been finding .difficulty In getting employment, employ-ment, having been largely replaced by men cooks and wnlters In restaurants and hotels. As 'a result a "syndicate of kitchen maids" has been formed, whose object Is to restore to woman her rights In the kitchen. Paris hotel keepers have been petitioned to employ em-ploy regularly a certain proportion of "apprentice girl cooks" In their kitchens, thus giving them opportunity to fit themselves for the placo of chef.
