Show Lewlston. Saturday, May 10th, Richmond and Lewlston teams met at Lewlston and played a game of ball which resulted in a victory for the RIchmondltcs by a score of 20 to 7. The Richmond boys played hard and seemed to have things their own way from tho beginning be-ginning of the game. Lewlston, however, how-ever, labored under the disadvantage of having two or thrco In their team who had not played with the nine this season and, as usual, when a ball came their way they succeeded In muffing It. While the game was on, however, the crowd was favored by a sort of side show In tho way of a fight between Rile Pope of Lewlston and Charles Riter of Richmond. Pope came out on top. A ring fight would have been the result had It not been for the prompt action of a few of tho citizens. Lewlston Is being visited by a good rain which, if followed by warm weather, will make tho crops grow as if by magic. Mr. Samuel Allen of Lewlston has sold his farm to William II. Lewis for $11,000. |
