Will Not Declare War Unless Forced by Turks to Fight. i According to rellablo reports from Varna, at the recent council of ministers, min-isters, presided over ty Prince Ferdinand Ferdi-nand at tho palaco of Huxinograd, It was resolved that Bulgaria should conttnuo to maintain an attitude of . the strictest neutrality in tho Macedonian Mace-donian question, and further that tho most stringent measures should bo adopted to prevent anything likely to cause a disturbance in Bulgaria's relations rela-tions with Turkey. The war minister Is reportod to have spoken strongly in tho council against any thought of Bulgaria declaring de-claring war on Turkey; first on account ac-count of tho onormous oxpendituro that such a war would involve, and secondly, becauso tho great powors would never permit Bulgaria to reap tho ndvantngo If she were victorious. Should Turkey attack Bulgaria, declared de-clared the minister, tho prosont army could hold the Turks In check for tho first fow days, whllo tho entire Bulgarian army could bo mobilized within thrco to twelve days. Bulgaria Bul-garia would never declare war, ho added, but if war was declared against her sho would accopt tho challenge chal-lenge fearlessly. |
