Show Hyde Pari: Notes. Hyde Park did itself proud In entertaining enter-taining old people of tho town last week. The cntcrtalment was held in the hall on tho 10. Tho committo was aided by tho young married women wo-men of tho town decorated tho hall and prepared tables and a bountlous feast consisting of all of the delicacies that could bo procured. The old folks were brought from their homes in carriages, and were greeted at tho door of the hall by tho committee and young lady waiters who took them In hand and took off their wraps and coats and saw that they wero seated comfortably at the tables and were supplied with all tho good things they could desire. After dinner a most excellent programme was rendered consisting of songs, recitations, music, mu-sic, speeches, toasts, duets, etc. The Mandolin Club and brass band rendering ren-dering some excellent music both before be-fore and after dinner. About 4.30 pin. all the old people wore again conveyed to their homes after having spent a most enjoyable day. In the evening the married people of the town assembled at the hall and spent tho evening In dancing. A lunchon was served to all In attendenco In the evening. All present went away feeling feel-ing rewarded for tho efforts they had made to make a pleasant lime for tho old people and agreed that they had spent a most eujoyabln evening themselves. them-selves.
