The special election to vote on the matter, of bonding for better roads passed off quietly Tuesday, tho bond issue being defeated by a vote of 378 against 314 for the issue. Acting on the advlco so frequently given of late the people have decided to "get hack to the soil," or as one man puts It "the mud of our fathers Is good enough for us." The ejpctlon was a very tame affair as the return show, the vote "being one of the smallest yet coi '" " county.
