Show Jesse Knight Buys a Block of Stock A sydlcatecomposedof Jesse Knight und associates has bought a controling block In the Old Emma mine at Alta. Associated with them will be the stock holders who have been developing the mine since last August. Tho new directorate di-rectorate will be Jesse Knight, L. R. Miiirlueiiu, M. M. Miller and O P. MUK-r, with M. M. Miller as secretary and treasurer. The company's property prop-erty consists of rive patented claims and two adjoining unpatented claims. The Bay City tunnel it equipped for 1,800 feet with new ties and steel rails and at the mouth suitable buildings for miners' quarters, otllces, shops and storerooms have been recently constructed. con-structed. The com pany has marketed three shipments of ore during the winter showing good values in lead and silver and at present Is working In a two-foot vein of similar ore which gives every indication of Improving with depth. The association of Jesse Knight with this famous property means much for Alta In general and for the company In particular. The stock Is closely held by a fortunate few. It Is predicted by those on the Inside that not much of the 200,000 shares of treasury stock will be used bofore a large body of the Old Emma's famous deposits of rich silver will be uncovered. Altogether Mr. Martlneau is to be congratulated In the part he has taken in bringing back to Zlon the ownership of a property that sold to a Loudon syndicate for $5,000,000 The above transaction means much for Mr. L R.
