No alterations will be made In tho general nppearanco of tho room, except that tho floors will bo scraped and polished and tho woodwork wood-work reflnished. Tho lower Hours of tho Whlto House will bo gone ovor. and all of them thoroughly cleaned nnd repollshed. A Gient deal of painting will be done hero also, nnd sevoial minor changes are contemplated.
