Show Hyde Park. HYDE PARK, April 22.Tlio golden gol-den wedding of Mr. Absalom Woolf and his two wives, Lucy and Harriet, was celebrated In tho Hyde Park hall Friday, April 10. It was a notable gathering of tho Woolf family from many parts of our state. It Is not often that a man marries two wives upon the same day and each of them live to celebrate thclrgoldcn wedding. If we arc correctly Informed Brother Woolf has passed his 75th milestone, and he seems good for several years yet. Ills wives arc Hearing tliclo 70th year and aro halo and hearty. Lucy Woolf Is tho mother ot two sons and eight daughters; Harriet the mother of four sons and fivo daughters. daugh-ters. Theio are grand children and great grand children too numerous to mention. During tho afternoon a pleasing program consisting ot songs, recitations, recita-tions, speeches and music by the mandolin man-dolin and guitar band was rendered. Preceding the program tables wero set and all present sat down to as tine a table spread with earth's bounties as one could ask for. It is estimated that over ono hundred persons were present. Many valuablo gifts cmbel-Ished cmbel-Ished with gold wero given to brother and sisters Woolf (jultc a number of relatives and friends from other settlements were present. Joseph Walte, the Ijrso son-in-law of brother Woolf, was master of ceremonies, and kept things moving right along, llro. Woolf and wives wero among the early pioneers of Hyde Park and hero they lived and raised a largo family of honorable hon-orable men and women. Long may thoyllvo t,o enjoy the fruits of their labors. On Friday night a dance was given in tho hall for the benefit of brother Georgo Nielsen who left today for thu east to llnlsh his mission, from which ho was called homo on account of tho death of his brother Andrew. It would seem as It every one in A Hyde Park wanted to dance that evening, eve-ning, for the house was crowded. Tho sum of $00 10 was given brother Nielsen Niel-sen at the closo of tho dance. During the evening brother Nielsen sang two lino songs. Peter and Niels Madson.of Ilrlgham City, attended Sunday evening services. ser-vices. The first named gave us a good talk and the latter pronounced the benediction. Elders II. E. Han-cey Han-cey and George Nielsen were the principal prin-cipal speakers of the evening If we renumber right, Hyde Park carried oil more blue ribbons upon their horses at the fair last Saturday than any other town In the county. For a runaway team, Mr. Kearl, of Smlthtlcld, has one that wo think Is a winner The other day they ran from Smlthlicld to Hyde Park, took a spin around our town, and then inn back home, wheic they were finally captured On Sunday a horso belonging lo James I. Kirby ran up and down several sev-eral of our streets and sldo walks and was captured after demolishing the buggy.
