Show Course in Biology slated in September at SUSC a Flaming Gorge river run. Methods of collecting, mounting, mount-ing, displaying, and preserving specimens will be taught, according ac-cording to Prof. Dotson. Field Identification, natural history, taxonomy, and ecology will be stressed. Prof. Dotson said that food will be provided while in the field. When in class or in a city, or traveling to a city, each person will be responsible for his own food. Campus housing is available for students not attending school fall quarter. Those who have dormitory accommodations accommoda-tions reserved for fall quarter will be able to stay in those rooms. A mini-course in Field Biology Biol-ogy will be taught by two Southern Utah State College instructors Sept. 17 through 29. Dr. Jim Bowns and Professor Richard Dotson of the SUSC science faculty will conduct the comprehensive course on the study of animals and plants of Utah. The entire course will , be taught in the field, with trips being made to various areas of the state, including a hike through Zion Narrows and |
