ALBERTA DALTON Services held for Alberta Worth en Dalton PAROWAN - Alberta Worthen Burton Dalton, 65, of 109 North 200 West Parowan died July 18 at the Valley View Medical Center of a lingering illness. She was born August 28, 1908 in Panguitch to Aurelia Rozella Montegue and John Franklin Worthen.Married to Claude E. Burton May 26, 1926, later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He died Nov. 28, 1956. Married Rulon Robb Dalton, Nov. 3, 1959, St. George LDS Temple. He died May 29, 1973. Mrs. Dalton attended Panguitch High School; then later moved to Parowan where she was extremely involved in religious and civic activities. A member of LDS Church she held positions of music choruster, Presidents of Stake and Ward Relief Society, MIA and Primary, member of Stake geneological committee. Mrs. Dalton was Parowan City Treasurer for five years, active Republican party member; on the Iron County Fair Board for several years; member of OPA, Red Cross, Retail Merchants,' ONO Club, Parowan Literary Club, Library Board, and secretary of Red Hill Wranglers for many years. Survivors include sons (Ted) Edward A. Burton, Parowan; Donald Erie Burton, Layton; daughter Mrs. Raymond (Frankie Lou) Bentley, Parowan; stepsons Adrian Elmo Dalton, Ogden; Fred Dalley Dalton, Washington, Ut.; Rulan Kent Dalton, Fillmore; daughter Mrs. Gary (Karen) Kline, Ogden; 16 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, brothers Ilerbert N. Worthen, Panguitch; Darrell F. Worthen, Salt Lake City; sisters Mrs. J. Ray (Madge) Slade, Ogden; Mrs. Pratt (Hope) Goulding, Panguitch; Mrs. Carlos (Aurelia) Bauer, Cedar City; one daughter, Claudia proceeded Mrs. Dalton in death. Funeral services were held Monday July 22 in the Parowan Third Ward Chapel. Burial was in Parowan City Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Southern Utah Mortuaries. |
