Show Council proposes new Law Plan for County The Parowan City Council" met last week and several bus-iness bus-iness matters were discussed. Councilman Jim Benson, in charge of public safety, reported having met with Ira Schop. pman concerning the possibility of incorporating the Parowan city police into the county police po-lice forces. It was felt that this would provide better coverage and the plan was presented at the county commissioners meeting. meet-ing. It will be studied further before a decision is made. Bill Daileda and Dick Glantz met with the council on airport haul top soil to put north of the swimming pool in readiness for grass planting there. Twenty Orton has been hired by the city to work at the city dump to show people where to dump their trash and the city asks that the townspeople cooperate co-operate with him in this respect. The council is now discussing a new site for a land-fill dump. Earl Bunn has been in contact with the Bureau of Land Management Man-agement to select a site. The possibility of having Summit and Paragonah use the same site Is being discussed with the county. business. Electric power is now available at .the airport and is being put into the hanger. Within the next two weeks it will probably be used to light the runway. Parowan City will annex the city owned property at the airport, giving them control con-trol of the Kane Springs road which will probably be closed to allow for a longer runway.
