Show Freeway opens -- wait and see his business has not changed much. Some cafes in town have reported re-ported a drop in business. Most agree it is too soon to tell what the long lasting effects ef-fects will be, but most are also optomistic. Almost all citizens of Par-owan Par-owan agree it is nice to get the heavy traffic off main street The intersections were getting very difficult to get through with the heaviest summer raffle ever. The new freeway was opened open-ed last Thursday and left the people of Paragonah, Parowan and Summit with mixed emotions. The new highway bypasses all three towns. Parowan business men re. port a slight drop in business especially the gas stations. They do not however anticipate antic-ipate any serious problems. Many tourists are still coming com-ing into town for gas and groceries. gro-ceries. Summit may feel the quiet for a while but they do not. have any stations or stores in town so the change should be a welcome one for them. Leslie's Market and gas station sta-tion in Paragonah reports a serious loss of tourist trade and they gave one reason, the fact that their Interchange is still under construction at both ends and people have passed them by. They report good local trade however and have offered the townspeople a discount on gasoline.
