The standings, listed above, were through action last week. Games were also played Monday, Mon-day, Tuesday and Wednesday with Bradshaw involved in two of those games where losses would have been critical to them. Tonight, Thursday, Town and Country and Tri-State will meet. The first inning or innings of play will be the continuation of a game last week when the two clubs tied 4-all and it was called owing to darkness. Following Fol-lowing the completion of that game a regular game will be played. The league is scheduled to be completed on Thursday evening, even-ing, July 26. Action throughout next week will see Bradshaw and Tri-State Tri-State meet on Monday. Tuesday Tues-day Town and Country will tangle with Max's Camera, Wednesday Wed-nesday it will be Max's Camera against Tri-State and Bradshaw and Town and Country will wind up the league on July 26. Some games have also been postponed and should they have a bearing on the league championship, cham-pionship, will be played after that date. Three games were played last week. Wednesday evening it was Town and Country scoring scor-ing a 7-4 victory over Max's Camera. Cornell Christensen was on the mound for the victors vic-tors and he gave up just four hits. In addition Christensen went 4 for 4 at the plate including includ-ing a double. On the mound for Max's was Brad Hunter and Matias Quintanilla. T & C scored scor-ed two In the second and two in the third for a 4-0 lead and they maintained the lead through the remainder of the game. It was Tuesday night that Tri-State and T&C fought to a 4-4 deadlock. T&C pushed in two runs in the second. Tri-State countered with one In the second sec-ond and one in the fourth and Tri-State took the lead with a run In the sixth. T&C came back to push in two runs in the sixth but In the seventh Tri-State Tri-State on a pair of singles pushed push-ed in a run to knot the score and it was called all tied at 4-all 4-all owing to darkness. Monday Bradshaw Chevrolet barely got away with an 8-7 victory over Max's Camera. Trailing going into the bottom of the sixth Adams got on on a walk and scored on a triple by Meyers. Meyers then came on to score on an error with what turned out to be the winning win-ning run. |
