Show Council okays appointments of 3 atSUSC At its October meeting the Southern Utah State College Institutional In-stitutional Council approved three special appointments involving in-volving former staff and faculty fac-ulty members land a former student. B. Wayne Mifflin, who worked work-ed with the SUSC Upward Bound Program for five years as director and assistant director, direct-or, was appointed as coordinator coordina-tor of a Title IV-D Planning Grant. Mr. Mifflin will serve as coordinator, co-ordinator, under the direction of a committee, to study the possibility pos-sibility of a cooperative program pro-gram between SUSC and various var-ious businesses and federal and state agencies for on-the-job experience and academic programs. pro-grams. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1968 from Weber State College prior to his appointment to administer the SUSC Upward Bound Program. Funding for that program was withdrawn during the past year through cuts in the Federal Government Economic Opportunity Oppor-tunity Programs. Paul Clint Warby, a 1970 graduate of SUSC and recipient of an M.A. degree from Miami of Ohio University in 1972, will represent the SUSC School of Education as area student teacher supervisor in the Salt Lake City district. He will supervise sup-ervise and counsel student teachers, conduct seminars, and assist each student with evaluation. evalu-ation. Mr. Warby served the college in this capacity during the 1973 spring quarter. He Is currently employed by KSL radio ra-dio in Salt Lake ICty. Gam Huskinson, Cedar City accountant, has been appointed as a special Instructor in accounting ac-counting for fall quarter to replace re-place Professor Gary Giles to permit his participation in the Title IV-D Project. Mr. Huskinson Huskin-son is a former assistant professor pro-fessor of acounting at SUSC. He is currently a co-partner in a Cedar City accounting firm. |
