He was born Nov. 2, 1883 in Paragonah to James B. and Rachel Davenport. He has eight children; Mrs. Mabel Montague, Monta-gue, Payson; Mrs. Dott Smith, Parowan; Jay Davenport, Summit; Sum-mit; Mrs. Sarah Robinson, Og-den; Og-den; Mrs. Rachel Smith, Sandy; Mrs. Margaret Hansen, Salt Lake City and Mrs. Wilma Lam-oreaux Lam-oreaux and Mrs. Hazel Jean Robinson both of Paragonah. Including the in-laws and grandchildren, his family now numbers 119. Most of this number are expected ex-pected to be on hand for the birthday celebration which will include a family dinner and program at the cultural hall prior to the open house. Wm. Davenport invites all friends and relatives to join with them in an Open House to celebrate his 90th birthday at the Paragonah Para-gonah Ward Cultural Hall on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 6 to 9 p. m. They request no gifts. "Uncle Willie," as he is lovingly lov-ingly called by all who know him, is the eldest man in town and has contributed much to our area during his long life.
